Stone sealer
Natural stones are very delicate and if not treated properly, they can be affected easily by stains etc. To protect them from these harmful effects, there are a wide range of stone sealers available on the market.
Each sealer will produce different results, dependant upon the stone they are applied too. You can buy paving sealers from your local diy store, however their efficacy is usually proportional to their value.
As proffesional sealers we often apply a polyurethane sealant, however this should not be applied by a layman who has not sealed a paved surface before. We often get questions asking us how to remove this sealant from a surface where there has been a problem. The truth is that to remove a Polyurethane sealant from a surface is a very difficult process and can have irreversible effects on your paved areas if not carried out effectively. To be on the safe side always let a proffesional apply this product or buy a acylic based sealer.
There are also water based products available from leading DIY stores, however in our opinion we believe that who ever applies these types of sealants is throwing good money down the drain! They generally dont last longer than 6 months at best! If you want a quality sealer you may have to dig av=bit deeper in your pocket, but it will be well worth it!
